What is ToughMap?
Toughmap is a virtually indestructible map or plan that's designed to be used outdoors in any weather, in all conditions. Datafind developed Toughmap following it's scanning of maps and plans that had deteriorated due to  being used outside. Laminating or encapsulating these maps would protect them from the weather but in many cases our customers needed to write notes on these working documents.
Toughmap is the answer because it is not affected by getting wet, if it gets muddy you simply wipe it clean and it is totally tear resistant. If you need to make temporary notes on your Toughmap you can with an ordinary pencil, more permanent notes can be added using an ordinary ballpoint pen.
Most of our clients only require their Toughmap as a black and white image but we can supply it as a full colour image if required.
You can get your map or document printed as a ToughMap. The specially developed ink and paper means you can have a document that is:
• Weather resistant
• Fold & crease resistant
• Strong and tear resistant
• Unaffected by most chemicals
• Unaffected over a wide range of temperatures
• Has a distinct appearance and silky touch
• Abrasive resistant |
With a ToughMap you can:
• Write upon it using normal biro inks
• Punch, die-cut and staple it
• Sew and Glue it |
