Introduction

Datafind Services have developed the most efficient way for everyone in your organisation to organise, find and share paper, PDF, TIFF and digital documents. Our software implementations combine the power of creating PDF, the convenience of network scanning and the efficiency of document management, into a single, easy-to-use desktop application.

We scan all types of documents. We scan colour, greyscale, black and white, loose documents or in files and we scan documents of mixed sizes. Bulk document scanning is no problem.  

Using our sophisticated high speed duplex scanners we can scan hundreds of thousands of pages per day into most system formats.

Our experience covers a broad range of document types. We scan items as small as credit card receipts or as large as computer printouts. One of our specialist areas is old and fragile documents, which means we have a huge amount of experience with difficult paper items such as tissue or color copies and two-sided documents. Our large assortment of scanners permits us to always apply the most appropriate equipment. All valuable and fragile papers are evaluated and processed to assure proper care and accurate conversion.

The Paperless Office

A Project Manager from Datafind Services will visit you to plan and co-ordinate your document management implementation. We will bulk scan all of your documents, indexing and linking them by client, customer, date, order etc.

The scanning process is FAST and accurate using our specially developed bulk scanning machines. Our OCR software can attempt to read each document too in order to create a searchable document database.

The scanning process is normally performed at Datafind offices, however, if your documents are too valuable to be taken away from the office, we can provide in-house scanning services too - providing a scanner and operator at your offices until the project is complete.

Organise

Our clients save time by having easy access to documents and files on their PC. Our software has an intuitive thumbnail-based Visual Desktop allowing pages within documents of all kinds - including scanned paper, TIFF, PDF, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint® and more - to be instantly viewed and organised without launching the associated application. The software can quickly create and assemble custom PDF documents, which can be reordered and merged using the software's drag & drop stacking capability - just as you do with real paper.

Find

Use the software's all-in-one SimpleSearch engine to quickly find all matching documents - from standard Microsoft Office and other digital document types, to scanned paper and business cards, as well as PDF files received on email or downloaded from the Web. Its full-page OCR capabilties automatically create searchable PDF files, while the software's support for meta-data simplifes finding images and digital photographs. Best of all, the software supports searching centralised document repositories anywhere on the network, and can connect to Web-based content management systems.

Share

Replace making paper copies with the software's DesktopDelivery, which automatically transfers PDF copies from your networked scanners and digital copiers to your software's desktop. PDF copies are easy to share using email, are more secure than paper copies - and best of all they save you time and money. The software also helps you streamline business processes, and enables paperless document workflows through its network connectivity with content management systems, including Oracle® 9i and Microsoft® SharePoint®.

Burial Documents

Our Burial Office clients use many forms... from Ownership Deeds to Exhumation Notices to Grave Testing Forms. Using our Document Management service we are able to 'bulk scan' all of these documents making them easily accessible from any desktop.

We are also able to scan burial maps and burial books.
