SCANNING

Every digitisation project starts with scanning to obtain your digital image. This needs to be planned carefully because if your image file size is too big to open or too small for its intended purpose then it will be of no use to you.

Datafind can scan any size document from postage stamp size to 4A0 ( 1682mm × 2378mm) and bigger.

We can scan film and microfiche to a digital image.

We can scan to film and we can supply your images on film from a digital image for long-term storage.

Whatever you want to do with your scanned images we can scan to the appropriate DPI, from 72 for the web up to 12,000 for reproduction onto large exhibition banners.

INDEXING, DATABASES AND DATA ENTRY.

Once your images have been scanned then you will need to be able to find your scanned image. Datafind can index all of your images, design a fully searchable database and perform data entry into your database to allow you to perform a detailed search on all of your images.

WEB DESIGN

Datafind has experienced web designers who can design launch and maintain your website. They will work with all other Datafind departments from the planning stage of your project. This will ensure that your web pages are designed to your specification and all of your potential audience can find your website and quickly search for your images easily.
